		<description>I made this yesterday to have with paranthas- absolutely delicious! And quick! If it weren't for the onions, I would have guessed close to UP for the origin- so much in common with certain potato recipes, but the methi daana is unique- I've never had it paired this way before, but honestly it doesn't stand out amongst the other flavours- quite the balanced masala!

&lt;em&gt;It might well be UP where onions are part of everyday curries in many communities (remember the potato curry from Western UP?).  But again, these spices are common to the entire Norther Plains... definitely North Indian, that's for sure.

So you are enjoying your potatoes now and then!  And, yes, this dish is really quick to make.  I haven't made it in a while, and now you have reminded me!&lt;/em&gt;</description>
